Amy Alain Dugan and 2nd Lt. Jonathan Atwood Zier, USMC, were married Aug. 2, 2008, in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, by Rev. Glenn Whitman.

The bride is a daughter of Charles and Carolyn Dugan, Sharpsville.

Parents of the groom are Donald and Yvonne Zier, Edgeworth, Pa.

Laurie Joanow, Hermitage, bride’s sister, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lily Stryker, Slippery Rock; and Madison Stellfox, Charlottesville, Va., both bride’s friends. Junior bridesmaids were Caitlynn Dugan, Sharon; and Sophia Joanow, Hermitage, bride’s nieces.

Best man was Timothy Roundtree, Philadelphia, groom’s friend. Ushers were 2nd Lt. Thomas Barbour, USMC, groom’s friendNo location given. Lisa; and Anthony Joanow, Hermitage, bride’s nephew.

Angelique Joanow, bride’s niece, was flower girl. Ring bearers were Nickolas Joanow, Hermitage; and Stephen Dugan, Sharon, bride’s nephews.

Charles Dugan, Lille, France, bride’s brother, was vocalist. Organist was Dr. Keith Lepak, Sharon.

A reception followed in Buhl Mansion, Sharon. The reception was featured on WQED’s OnQ, “Tale of Two Inns.”

The newlyweds live in Pensacola, Fla.

They graduated from Grove City College with bachelor’s degrees. Mrs. Zier studied elementary education; her husband, engineering.

The bride is a third-grade teacher with Lincoln Park Elementary School, Pensacola.

The groom is in Marine flight training in Pensacola.
