Wedding

Theresa Elizabeth Ferrara and Jason Thomas Davies were united in marriage in an afternoon service on Aug. 9, 2008, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sharon, with Father Jeffrey Lucas officiating.

The bride is a daughter of Mark and Jan Ferrara, Masury.

Parents of the bridegroom are Bill and Kathy Davies, Greenville.

Rachel Ferrara, bride’s cousin, Toledo, Ohio, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Marykatherine Ferrara and Alessandra Ferrara, bride’s sisters, of Masury. Aletha Harvey, Mascoutah, Ill., friend of the couple, was flower girl.

Best man was Dr. Kevin Davies, groom’s brother, of Harrisonburg, Va. Groomsmen were Maj. Dr. Kirby Harvey, Mascoutah, groom’s friend, and Joe Davies, Greenville, groom’s brother. Joe Ferrara, bride’s brother, served as an usher.

Paul Ferrara, New York, N.Y., bride’s uncle, and Bill Davies, groom’s father, were readers. Gabriella Molina-Davies, Harrisonburg, groom’s sister-in-law, read the responsorial psalm. Jim Krivanek, Canfield, Ohio, bride’s uncle, offered special prayers and petitions. Madeline Ferrara, bride’s sister, distributed programs along with Anastaysia Sytsko, visitor to the Ferrara household from Homel, Belarus. Gianna Colella, West Middlesex, was the pianist. Rodd Coonce and Jacqueline Genovese were soloists. Nancy Knab, Henrietta, N.Y., groom’s aunt, designed and baked the wedding cake.

An evening reception was held at Oak Tree Country Club, Shenango Township.

After a honeymoon to the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania and a trip to St. Petersburg, Fla., the newlyweds live in Silver Spring, Md.

Mrs. Davies is a 2003 graduate of Sharpsville High School and earned a certificate as a medical assistant from TCTC. She worked as a medical assistant in the office of Dr. Shani Vaturi, Brookfield, and was employed by Joy Cone Co., Hermitage.

Mr. Davies is a 1998 graduate of Reynolds High School. He is a staff sergeant in the Air Force, stationed at Andrews Air Force Base, Md.
