Trisha Palisin and Ryan Voegtlin

Trisha Palisin and Ryan Voegtlin were married in a garden ceremony at Elkridge Furnace Inn on Aug. 1, 2008, in Elkridge, Md., by the Rev. Robert Ireland.

The bride is a daughter of Kathleen Palisin, Hermitage, and Drew and Beth Palisin, Sharon, and a granddaughter of Frank and Patricia Petrillo, Hermitage, and Elaine Palisin, Hermitage.

The bridegroom is a son of Robert and Linda Voegtlin, Southport, N.C., and a grandson of Inez Mizell, Calabash, N.C.

Laura Palisin, bride’s sister-in-law, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Cara Woods, groom’s sister; and Deana Jacobs and Betsy Book, bride’s friends.

Chris Mooney, groom’s friend, was best man. Groomsmen were Max Kuker, groom’s friend; Tim Palisin, bride’s twin brother; and Chris Palisin, bride’s brother. The junior groomsman was Maxx Palisin, bride’s brother.

Ariana Petrillo, bride’s cousin, was the flower girl. Holden Palisin, bride’s nephew, was the ring bearer.

Rosan Petrillo, bride’s cousin, was the vocalist. Jane Petrillo, bride’s aunt and godmother, and Paul Brockett, groom’s friend, were eaders.

A cocktail hour and reception followed the ceremony at the Elkridge Furnace Inn.

After a honeymoon to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the newlyweds live in Towson, Md.

Mrs. Voegtlin graduated from Hickory High School, Hermitage, and Clarion University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She holds a master’s degree in school counseling from Loyola College, Md. She is employed by Baltimore County Public Schools as a counselor at Pleasant Plains Elementary School.

Mr. Voegtlin graduated from Severna Park (Md.) High School and St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He holds a master’s degree in school counseling from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. He is employed by Anne Arundel County Public Schools as a pupil personnel worker.
