Tournament director Sue McLaughlin announced the 15th annual Buhl Farm Tennis Invitational will take place Oct. 3, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Buhl Farm Park courts.
There will be 7 singles and doubles divisions contested by Greenville, Grove City, Hickory, Kennedy Catholic, Sharon, Wilmington, Oil City and Franklin.

Thursday’s Hickory at Wilmington tennis match was moved to Oct. 9.
GIRLS GOLF
Lady Picker Invitational
Hickory finished 4th as a team and Rosy Hearns was 2nd individually as the Hornettes competed in the North East Lady Picker Invite on Thursday at Green Meadows Golf Course.
Mercyhurst Prep won it with a 350, followed by Villa Maria (351), McDowell (384) and Hickory (391).
Hearns shot an 81 to finish behind North East’s Megan Moylan (79).
Also for Hickory, Alena Lancia fired a 94, Kelsey Dudash carded a 103 and Abby Hearns shot a 113.
Reynolds’ Taylor Yahner (114) and Izzy Schell (119) also competed in the annual event.
BOYS SOCCER
ä Mercer 10, Commodore Perry 0 — At Sheakleyville, the visiting Mustangs (4-0 region, 8-1 overall) were led by Will Juergens and Trenton Fowler, both of whom tallied twice and assisted on 2 other scores.
Also for Mercer, Chase Hoffman had a goal and assist, Zack Kroll was credited with 3 assists, and Nathan Breese 1, Alex Shaffer 1, Matt Jergens, Ryan Carlson, and Preston Hoover contributed goals and Quinton Hinkson an assist.
Mercer outshot the Panthers, 17-0.
ä Franklin 2, Hickory 1 (2OT) — At Franklin, Ted Richards scored both goals for the Knights (7-1) as they edged the Hornets (3-5-2).
Zack Walters scored for Hickory with only 54 seconds left in the 2nd half to force overtime.
Donte Green made 8 saves in goal for the Hornets and Matt Costello was credited with a nice defensive game.

ä West Middlesex 3, Jamestown 0 — At West Middlesex, Ariel Pratt had 16 points, 5 kills and 5 digs in leading the Ms. Reds (6-2) past Jamestown, 25-5, 25-21, 25-16.
