BOYS SOCCER

ä Commodore Perry 4, Central Tech 1 — At Sheakleyville, Central took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Edin Kantorevic, but the Panthers controlled play the rest of the way.

Andy Engstrom had a pair of goals and an assist and Matt Wasser drilled home a pair of goals to lead CP.

Ethan Milford, Ian Anthony and Matt Hetrich were also credited with assists for the Panthers.

ä Grove City 0, Mercer 0 (2OT) — At Lamor Road Field on Wednesday night, the 2-playoff bound teams played to a tie.

Grove City goalie Luke Biddle notched 2 saves.

Mercer (11-6-1) battles Mercyhurst Prep at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the District 10 Class A playoffs. That match is at Harbor Creek’s Paul J. Weitz Stadium. GC (13-3-2) opens the D-10 Class AA playoffs at 5 p.m. Monday. They battle Central Tech (10-5-1) at Harbor Creek High.
