MERCER COUNTY — Erie McDowll copped first place in the Hickory Hornet Girls Golf Invitational Friday at Hickory VFW Golf Course. North East was second, followed by Reynolds.
McDowell's Colleen Miller and Karlie Zabrosky tied with 78, but Miller won medalist honors in a playoff. Top local finisher was Renee Cantrell of Rynolds with an 82, followed by Grove City's Danielle Bales 83.
