1st Baptist welcomes Rev. Luke Oskin


HUBBARD — The Rev. Luke D. Oskin has been named pastor of First Baptist Church, 99 Orchard, Hubbard.

Rev. Oskin was born and raised in Linesville. He graduated from French Creek Valley Christian School, Linesville High School and Pennsylvania State University, with a bachelor’s degree in business.

He earned a master of divinity degree in pastoral ministry from Ashland Theological Seminary.

While attending seminary, he met his fiancée, the Rev. Katie A. Dillon, who was working on a master of divinity degree in pastoral counseling. They graduated seminary and went through the ordination process of the American Baptist Churches. They were ordained in 2008 and 2007, respectively.

They are planning to be married in October by their mentor, pastor and friend, the Rev. Gordon Thomas.
