Valley Baptist sets service for Pastor-elect Harrison

FARRELL — Valley Baptist Church, 500 Sharon-New Castle Road, continues celebration of its 100th anniversary by observing the ordination and installation of Pastor-elect Terrence James Harrison at 4 p.m. Jan. 13.

Minister Leon Harrison of Greater Emmanuel Temple in Hampton, Va., and son of Rev. Harrison and his wife Tamara Harrison, will speak at the 11 a.m. service that day.

Speaker for the ordination and installation will be the Rev. Thomas J. Bolling, retired pastor of Second Missionary Baptist Church in Farrell.

Clergy from the Shenango Valley as well as New York, Virginia, Pittsburgh and Erie will participate in the service. A reception will follow.

Rev. Harrison is president of the Farrell Area School Board and son of Farrell Mayor Olive McKeithan.
