Full Gospel Business group slates meeting
SHARON — Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International, Shenango Valley chapter, will meet at 6 p.m. today in Apostolic Christian Church, 664 Cedar Ave.
The Rev. Joseph Cohen, who grew up in a conservative Jewish family and accepted Jesus as his savior in 1978, giving up drug and alcohol abuse and gambling, will speak at 7:30 p.m. He has been preaching the gospel for 27 years in different countries.
Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $9.
Trinity Presbyterian sets summer music series
MERCER — Scheduled participants featured in a summer music series during 10 a.m. services in Trinity Presbyterian Church, 110 E. Market St., are as follows:
Sunday — Carol Mixer, piano; June 28 — Ron Dionisio, tenor sax; July 5 — Becca McCann, piano; July 12 — Jessica Sankey, piano; July 19 — Summer Bible school children; July 26 — Leah Moose, vocal; and Dana Moose, guest organist; Aug. 2 — Josh Colson, marimba; Aug. 9 — Adult chancel choir, communion anthem; Aug. 16 — Mary Ellen Ulmer, piano; Aug. 23 — Hugh Ringer, vocal; and Aug. 30 — Pamela Courtney, vocal.
The series concludes in September with pianist Katie McCann on Sept. 6 and vocalist Karla Snyder on Sept. 13 at 11 a.m.
The series began June 14 with Carol Carlson, vocal.
Love Christian Center to celebrate Father’s Day
FARRELL — Father’s Day will be celebrated with a special youth meeting at 7 p.m. Sunday in Love Christian Center, 411 Hamilton Ave.
The Rev. Phil Roland, pastor of Sheepfold Ministries in Sharon, will speak. “Our Dad is the Best Dad II” will be the theme.
Doors open at 6 p.m. to sign in those through age 19 for drawings to be held at the end of the meeting for 35 door prizes.
Jesus’ Church to laud ‘Communities Finest’
FARRELL — A service “Celebrating Our Communities Finest” is set for 4 p.m. June 28 in Jesus’ Church — Faith Christian Center Ministries, 901 Fruit Ave.
Current and past police of the Southwest Regional, Sharon, Hermitage, Sharpsville and Mercer County Sheriff’s departments will be honored for dedicated service.
Police and families of past police officers are invited. Certificates will be presented to families of deceased police officers.
Minister Leonard Williams of Faith Temple Baptist Church will speak. Emma Cunningham of Atlanta will present special music.
Holy Trinity Lutheran sets polka-themed service
HERMITAGE — Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3325 Morefield Road, has planned a polka-themed service for 9:30 a.m. July 5 in the church.
The Eddie Vallus Band II will provide music. The service will be in memory of the late Johnny Krizancic. Refreshments will follow.
