Grove City
• Someone stole a .38-caliber pistol worth about $270 between July 20 and 21 in a home in the 200 block of West Poplar Street, police said.
• Drew Whitley, 55, Braddock, Pa, threatened to kill a Grove City woman at about 11:30 p.m. July 20 when they were both in her home, police said. Whitley refused to leave, and was later arrested and charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, and defiant trespass.
Hempfield Township
• John Mitchell, 34, Greenville, was charged with simple assault under the Domestic Violence Act and harassment after fighting with a woman at 6:33 a.m. Monday at her home, 29 Goetsch Road, Sugar Grove Township, leaving bruises and scratches on her arms, legs and head, police said.
State police
• Sunshine E. Roe, 29, of 25 Main St., Fredonia, was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and attempted theft after a man who lives on Main Street found her hiding in an upstairs bedroom closet at 11:30 a.m. July 17, police said.
