Hermitage

• Sheila J. Johnson, 31, of New Castle, has been charged with unauthorized use of a car and driving without a license for driving away in a car that a friend had rented so he could be her designated driver for her birthday, police said. The incident occurred at 11 p.m. Oct. 9, police said.

• Kayla A. Ethier, 23, of 163 Third Ave., Sharon, has been charged with corruption of minors and retail theft for stealing a pregnancy test kit and three 12 packs of soda with a 12-year-old boy pushing her cart at 6:13 p.m. Oct. 4 at Giant Eagle, 2385 E. State St., police said.

SW Mercer County Regional

• Bradford Gillespie, 56, of 707 French St., Farrell, has been charged with simple assault for shoving a woman, pulling her head and scratching her after an argument over money at 10 p.m. Monday at home, police said.

State police

• Several items were stolen in a home break-in between 8:50 and 9:45 a.m. Monday on Brent Road, Liberty Township, police said.

• A mailbox was stolen between 5 p.m. Monday and 5 p.m. Tuesday from 107 Symons Road, East Lackawannock Township, police said.

• A Sandy Lake-area motorcycle driver was injured when his cycle hit a sport-utility vehicle at 5:06 p.m. Monday on U.S. Route 19 at Race Track Road, Coolspring Township, police said.

William G. Consiglio Jr., 27, was treated at Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Police said the southbound SUV driven by Cheryl A. Wimer, 43, of Mercer, turned left into the path of the northbound cycle.

• Michael P. O’Connell, 56, of Landing, N.J., was injured when his car went into the median and rolled several times at 4:30 p.m. Monday on Interstate 80 eastbound, East Lackawannock Township, police said.

O’Connell was treated at Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, a hospital spokeswoman said.

• Ronald E. Sok, 56, of 700 Beechwood Ave., Farrell; at 6:17 p.m. Sunday on Orangeville Road after his vehicle hit a boulder.
