•Two pickup tires were cut between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of Elm Street, police said.
State police
•Brittani Palumbo, 21, of Hermitage, was taken to a New Castle hospital for facial and chest injuries after her car hit a concrete bridge barrier at 6:01 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Route 422 westbound at North Liberty Street, New Castle, police said. New Castle police and fire departments and a PennDOT bridge crew assisted.
•Joshua L. Leach, 36, of Grove City, has been charged with simple assault and harassment for punching and choking a 31-year-old woman at 11:39 p.m. Wednesday at Glen Lakes Estates Mobile Home Park, Pine Township, police said.
