• Police said someone broke into Club Topsy, a bar on Lorain Street in Masury, through the front door sometime between 2:45 and 5:30 a.m. Thursday, broke a jukebox causing $250 worth of damage and took an undetermined amount of money.
Sharon
• Shadi Atallah, 27, of 346 Lafayette Ave., Sharon, has been charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct for punching a man in the mouth several times June 11 in the 1200 block of Griswold Street, police said. The victim, Timothy Mayerchak, 26, of Cedar Ave., Sharon, was treated at the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, police said.
• Someone forced open a basement window between Monday evening and 2 p.m. Wednesday to enter a home in the 600 block of Hull Street and stole 30 to 50 feet of copper water line, police said. The line had just been installed and the victim, a Sharpsville man, was fixing up the house in preparation for moving in, police said.
• A 5-month-old Chihuahua was stolen, along with its green, plastic-coasted metal run, at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday from the 400 block of Wengler Street, police said. Berkley, a small, mostly white dog with a brown spot on its back and one brown ear, wore a green camouflage collar and name tag, police said.
DRUNKEN DRIVING ARRESTS
Sharon
• Cory T. Odem, 22, of 903 B Drive, West Middlesex; at 3:39 a.m. Thursday.
Police said they attempted to stop Odem at about 3 a.m. at George Street and South Oakland Avenue for speeding and driving under suspension, when he sped away into Farrell. He got of the car at Hamilton Avenue and French Street, Farrell, and ran, and was caught with help from Southwest Mercer County Regional police in the 1000 block of Hamilton, police said. Odem did not cooperate when police tried to arrest him, or at the Shenango Valley Regional Lockup, Farrell, police said. He also was charged with resisting arrest and fleeing police.

• James A. Sherwood, 53; at 12:31 a.m. Thursday at North Water Avenue and West Silver Street on a Hermitage warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia and two warrants from the Mercer County District Attorney’s Office.
