Police, Fire from March 11, 2010

Grove City

• Adam C. Botting, 20, Bradford, Mass., and Caleb A. Breckon, 19, Leonardtown, Md., were charged with theft by unlawful taking and retail theft for taking a mannequin at 3:30 p.m. Monday from Salvation Army, police said.

• Michael M. Slinkard, 21, of Lower Burrell, Pa, was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness for fighting with Grove City College campus safety officers at 9:45 p.m. Friday, police said.

• Brandon John Seelbaugh, 19, of 410 Highland Ave., was picked up this week at a local hotel on bench warrants, including for corruption of minors, police said. He was also charged with drug violations.

• A 16-year-old boy punched a teacher in the face at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 18 in Grove City Area High School and was charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, police said.

• A 13-year-old boy was cited for harassment after an incident with another student on Feb. 3 in Grove City Middle School, police said.

Sharon

• Larry M. Crawford, 55, of 105 Fifth Ave., Sharon, was charged with criminal trespassing at 1:43 p.m. Tuesday at 149 S. Irvine Ave., police said.

• LeTonya Roye, 22, of 289è Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage, was cited for harassment at 6:23 p.m. Tuesday at East Connelly Boulevard and Dock Street, police said.

State police

• Joshua Lee Custer, 22, no listed address, was charged with forgery, theft by deception, and bad checks after he forged a woman’s signature in October at County Market, Pine Township, police said.

• Five illegal aliens, ages 18 through 27 and from Mexico, were taken into custody after a crash at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday on Oregon Road, Springfield Township, police said. Border patrol took them into custody.

• Someone tried to break into a Fredonia woman’s home at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday on McCartney Road, police said. A dead bolt kept the intruder out, and he ran off when he saw the homeowner.

Grove City

• David J. Hoy, 30, of 320è Opre Ave., Grove City; at 2:30 a.m. Friday on Princeton Avenue after driving without lights.

Hermitage

• Ryan A. Rodemoyer, 26, of 2547 Romar Drive, Hermitage; at 12:27 a.m. Saturday after he passed out in a pickup in the drive-through lane of a fast-food restaurant on East State Street.

• John A. Jelinek, 50, of 3831 Tamara Trail, Hermitage; at 12:20 a.m. Sunday at Christy and Morefield roads; also charged with a turning violation.

SW Mercer County Regional

• Giancarlo Gargiulo, 232 White Ave., Sharon; at 2:24 a.m. Feb. 25 in the 1100 block of Beechwood Avenue, Farrell, after his vehicle hit a parked vehicle; also charged with a lane violation.

• Randy A. Anthony, 43, of 695 S. Oakland Ave., Sharon; at 1:43 a.m. Feb. 27 at George Street and Fruit Avenue, Farrell; also charged with not having a working license plate light.

State police

• Gordon E. Magee, 51, of Grove City; at 12:36 a.m. Saturday on Franklin Road, Jackson Township, after he turned left into the path of a car driven by Amanda Hartwell, 35, of Mercer; also charged with accident involving damage to attended vehicle, driving under suspension, a turning violation, failing to render aid and give information, not wearing a seat belt, and driving without a valid inspection.

WARRANT ARRESTS

Mercer County sheriff

• Anthony Severing, 20, of 9 E. Ridge Ave., Sharpsville, was picked up on a warrant for failing to appear in court, deputies said.

• Keith Sensesak, 27, of 714 River Road, Greenville, was picked up on a warrant for non-compliance, deputies said.

• Marlia Straussberger, 30, of 557 New Castle Ave., Sharon, was picked up on a warrant for non-compliance, deputies said.

• Audrey Harris, 28, of 189 E. State St., Apartment 10, Sharon, was picked up on a warrant for failing to appear in court, deputies said.

• Matthew Thompson, 26, of Park Drive, Apartment 2C, Hermitage, was picked up on a warrant for failing to appear in court, deputies said.

Sharon

• Joseph F. Porterfield, 36, of 8165 Linden St., Masury; at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday on Sterling Avenue on warrants from the district attorney’s office.

• Joshua M. Spohn, 18, of 704 Prindle St., Sharon; turned himself in at 11 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for having a weapon on school property; police said he had a knife in his bookbag on March 3.

Sharpsville

• Ryan M. Bittner, 27, of Salisbury, Pa.; on Wednesday on a warrant for burglary, criminal trespassing, theft and receiving stolen property for stealing 44 DVDs in April 2008 from a home in the 300 block of Main Street and selling them.
