• Two people, whose identities were not released, were injured when the vehicle they were riding in was hit from behind at 4:03 p.m. July 3 in the 200 block of West Main Street, police said. They were in a car driven by Gary Bollinger, 63, of 232 Diamond Road, Grove City, which was hit by a vehicle driven by Cody Slater, 23, of North Washington, Pa., police said.

• Smolenskis K. Xenikis, 47, of Campbell, Ohio, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia for having pot on him when the vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped for a traffic violation at 8:36 a.m. Sunday at Sharon Road and Main Street, West Middlesex, police said.



• Thomas W. Powell II, 23, of 22 Orchard St., Wheatland, was arrested at 6:21 p.m. July 3 on Interstate 376 near Route 318, Shenango Township, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

He was a passenger in a vehicle stopped along the road and arrested on a warrant from District Judge Ronald E. Antos, Farrell, charging him with failing to pay, police said.

• Cory J. Eakin, 22, of Meadville; at 4:24 p.m. June 24 on Interstate 80 westbound, Shenango Township; also charged with a lane violation, following too closely, careless driving and open container.
