E. Louise Coast of Hermitage, formerly of Pulaski Township, Lawrence County, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010, in John XXIII Home, Hermitage. She was 80.
Mrs. Coast was born Jan. 10, 1930, in Mercer County to George and Dorothy Dodds Garrett.
She was a graduate of Wilmington High School.
Mrs. Coast enjoyed gardening, baking cookies and especially, spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was married to Ralph Lewis and later, to Donald Coast, both of whom are deceased.
Surviving are: a daughter, Linda Foy and her husband Dennis, Pulaski Township; two sons, William G. Lewis and his wife Terry; and Gerald L. Lewis and his wife Donita, all Pulaski Township; two brothers, Kenneth Garrett and his wife Sue; and Edward Garrett and his wife Betty, all New Wilmington; a sister, Jessie Hassinger and her husband Clem, Mercer; and a sister-in-law, Susan Garrett, New Wilmington.
She also leaves nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husbands, Mrs. Coast was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Garrett; a son, Robert Lewis; a granddaughter, Jennifer Foy; and a sister, Marie Leighty.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pulaski Presbyterian Church, Liberty Street, Pulaski, PA 16143.
Calling hours: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday (7-27-10) in SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington.
Service: Funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday (7-28-10) in the funeral home.
Interment: Neshannock Cemetery, New Wilmington.
