New Bedford church member raised sheep

---- — Dorothy Louise Bohonik of Sharon-Bedford Road, West Middlesex, died Monday morning (1-14-13) in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was 79.

Mrs. Bohonik was born April 27, 1933, in Pulaski Township, Lawrence County, a daughter of Andrew and Anna H. Joceneky Saniski.

She enjoyed raising sheep.

Dorothy was a member of St. James the Apostle Church of New Bedford.

She married Mike Bohonik on July 23, 1955; he survives at the residence.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Linda Ann Bohonik, also of the residence; two sons, Michael Bohonik and his wife JoAnn, West Middlesex; and Stephen Bohonik and his wife Michele, Leavittsburg, Ohio; and a brother, John Saniski, Greenville.

She is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Helen Dlacich, Marge Valentine and Mary Gavulic.

Mrs. Mike (Dorothy Louise), 79, Sharon-Bedford Road, West Middlesex.

Calling hours: 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday (1-17-13) in SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 3126 Main St., West Middlesex.

Service: Prayer service at 9:30 a.m. Friday (1-18-13) in the funeral home.

Interment: Will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, New Bedford.
