Mary Margaret Popp Roman of Heasley Road, Pulaski, passed away at 10:50 p.m. Monday (3-18-13) in Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage. She was 91.
Mrs. Roman was born July 11, 1921, in McDonald, Trumbull County, to Nicholas and Mary Martin Popp.
She formerly was a cook at West Middlesex Diner and at Porters in New Wilmington.
A homemaker, Mrs. Roman was an active member of Holy Cross (Romanian) Orthodox Church, Hermitage, and its ladies auxiliary.
Her husband, Richard “Romie” Roman, whom she married June 21, 1941, died Dec. 31, 1994.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mary Ann Kauffman and her husband Thurman Eugene, New Castle; a son, Nicholas R. Roman and his wife Kathryn, New Bedford, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Margery Roman, West Middlesex; two sisters, Helen Polinsky, Girard, Ohio; and Victoria Hale, McDonald; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; a son, E. George “Skip” Roman; and a brother, Nick Popp.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Orthodox Church, 950 Maple Drive, Hermitage, PA 16148.

Service: Funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday (3-22-13) in Holy Cross (Romanian) Orthodox Church, Hermitage, with the Rev. Calinic Berger, pastor, officiating.
Interment: St. John’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
