Helen J. Hogue of Hermitage passed away at 1:34 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 84.
Helen was born June 11, 1928, in Sharon to John and Mary Bicek Vodenichar.
She was a graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage.
Mrs Hogue was a bus driver and contractor for 13 years for Hermitage schools.
A homemaker, Helen was a member of Clark Trinity United Methodist Church and belonged to Order of the Eastern Star, serving as a past matron in Chapter 156, Farrell.
She enjoyed playing cards and country western dancing.
Her husband, Russell Hogue, whom she married April 23, 1948, passed away Dec. 29, 2005.
Survivors are three daughters, Karen and her husband Hugh Paden, Sharpsville; Bette and her husband David Love, Sandy Lake; and Sandra and her husband David Frank, Hubbard; a son, Ronald R. Hogue, Hermitage; five granddaughters, Holly Derr, Corrie Paden, Kaylee Roe, Melissa Kooser and Megan Lauer; two grandsons, Bobbie Zahniser and John Hogue; three great-grandsons; and Helen’s companion, Mike Kuritz.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Hogue; a daughter, Judith Dixon; a brother, John Vodenichar; and a sister, Marie Miller.
