Elizabeth ‘Eleanor’ Morrow Wilson

Homemaker, Big Bend U.M. member worked at diner

---- — Elizabeth “Eleanor” Morrow Wilson, most recently of Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage, formerly of Lamor Road, Jefferson Township, and Gargano Towers, Farrell, passed away at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 78.

Mrs. Wilson was born July 22, 1933, in Worth Township, Butler County, to Floyd A. and Laura Anna Wimer Morrow.

She formerly worked for Mercer Diner.

A homemaker, Mrs. Wilson was a member of Big Bend United Methodist Church, Jefferson Township.

Her husband, William Edwin “Red” Wilson, whom she married July 20, 1959, died June 18, 2000.

Surviving are: a daughter, Debbie Ann Burke and her husband Charles, Sharon; a son, Everett Leroy Oakes and his wife Sandra, Hadley; a sister, Esther Davis; and a brother, Howard Morrow, both Mercer; four grandchildren, David Oakes and his wife Robin; and Wesley Oakes, Scott Burke and Melinda Burke; two great-grandchildren, Nici Oakes and Lilli Oakes; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Erma Cooper; and a brother, Charles Morrow.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sharon Regional Health System Hospice, 2320 Highland Road, Hermitage 16148.

Mrs. William Edwin “Red” (Elizabeth “Eleanor” Morrow), 78, Hermitage, formerly of Lamor Road, Jefferson Township; and Gargano Towers, Farrell.

Calling hours: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday (2-12-12) in SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 3126 Main St., West Middlesex.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday (2-13-12) in the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Haley, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, Warren, and a lifelong friend of the family, officiating.

Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
