A funeral service will be held Friday for Lucille “Bob” Blue of 112 Hamilton Ave., Farrell. She passed away at 8:25 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 81.
Mrs. Blue was born March 18, 1930, in Elizabethtown, N.C., to Ada J. McKoy.
She was a loving and devoted homemaker.
As a dedicated member of Valley Baptist Church in Farrell, Mrs. Blue belonged to the usher board, as well as the missions, Sharing and Caring, by-laws, membership and kitchen committees.
She greatly enjoyed her church work, gospel music, cooking, family dinners, reading and Super Bowl parties with her Golden Girls.
Her husband, Willie Blue Sr., whom she married Feb. 4, 1950, passed away Aug. 15, 1996.
Surviving are: her children, Barbara Lynn Blue-Harrold and her husband Bruce, at home; Crystal A. Blue Hill, Las Vegas; Milton Blue, at home; Willie Blue Jr. and his wife Bertha M., Sharon; Norman E. Blue Sr. and his wife Funder M., Farrell; and Benjamin Blue and his wife Laura Ann, Hermitage; her adopted sons, Robert Jefferson and his wife Donna; and Edward McKoy, all Farrell; the Rev. George Batchelor and his wife Aileen, Youngstown; a brother, Dexter L. McKoy Jr., Charleston, S.C.; and two sisters-in-law, Mae Reather McKoy and Leatrice McKoy, both Elizabethtown, N.C..
She also leaves seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Mary E. Tatum, wife of the late Rev. Anderson T. Tatum; and Alma McKoy, both Farrell; and two special friends, Martha Richards and Inez McSwain, both Farrell.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Blue was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters, Daisy, French, Rosie, Mini Belle, Mary and Estrella; three brothers, Dexter and Andrew McKoy; and Robert “Top” Cromartie; and an adopted son, Lester McKoy.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday in the church with the Rev. James Harris, presiding elder of North Ohio Conference, Cleveland District of the Third Episcopal District, as officiant and eulogist.
