NEW CASTLE – Charles E. Lauderman of Oil City, formerly of Farrell, passed from this life at 9:15 p.m. Thursday (2-7-13) in the hospital of Jameson Health System, New Castle. He was 86.
Mr. Lauderman was born Sept. 21, 1926, in Farrell to Charles and Margaret Mueller Lauderman.
Charles was a Roman Catholic.
He graduated from Farrell High School in 1944 and worked for Turner’s Dairy in Grove City and the former Myer Frank Furniture Co. and Magnotto’s Market, both in Farrell.
He served in the Navy during World War II and was awarded the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and a World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5286, Farrell; and the American Legion.
Among his pastimes were golf and fishing.
He married the former Cecile Y. Ricci on Dec. 7, 1946. She died July 3, 1987.
He is survived by: a son, Charles Jr. and his wife Bonnie, Masury; four daughters, Cecile Lauderman, Sharpsville; Denise Jennings and her husband Robert, West Middlesex; Patricia Rubeo, Charleston, W.Va.; and Terri Ponton and her husband Mark, Frederick, Md.; a sister, Caroline Rogan, Sharon; and 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Beside his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dennis Lauderman; a grandson, Christopher Charles Lauderman; and a sister, Margaret Stepanchak.

Burial: St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
