Donald Quay Foster, 50 W. Glenora Drive, Grove City, died Thursday (7-26-12) in Autumn Grove Care Center, Harrisville. He was 73.
Mr. Foster was born in Harrisville on Nov. 19, 1938, a son of Quay Henry Foster and Gyla Nancy Gilmore.
He was an Army veteran who served from 1961 to 1963 and was active during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He was an ironworker who worked in the Erie and Youngstown areas.
Mr. Foster was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He enjoyed hunting and “backyard” mechanics.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Etta Hovis, whom he married February 7, 1962.
Also surviving are three sons, Daniel S., Grove City; David W. and his wife Katie, Chardon, Ohio; Donald Q. Foster II and his wife Kara, Troy, Ohio; three grandchildren, Tara, Mitchell and Logan; and two sisters, Marjorie McCandless, Fort Myers, Fla.; and Eva Joyce Connor, Edinboro.
