Dorothy Jean Stockdill Farster of 3039 Main St., West Middlesex, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010, in her residence. She was 65.
Mrs. Farster was born Dec. 31, 1944, in Widnoon, Armstrong County, to Clinton Clair and Clara B. Anthony Stockdill.
She was a member of the Class of 1962 at Redbank Valley High School, New Bethlehem, Pa.
She was employed by West Middlesex Post Office, and later the cafeteria at West Middlesex School District. She then was employed at Roto Rooter of Western Pennsylvania and subsequently retired from Mancuso Pest Control, which later became Ehrlich Pest Control, Sharon.
As a member of the former Shenango Valley Church of God, Hermitage, she served for 40 years as church organist, taught Bible school and was church treasurer. With her husband, Harold E. Farster, whom she married May 28, 1966, she was a current member of West Middlesex United Methodist church.
Her husband survives at the residence. Also surviving are a son, Curtis E. Farster, West Middlesex; and two sisters, Lois E. Smith, Sligo, Pa.; and Doris G. Allen and her husband Robert, Erie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday (7-29-10) in the funeral home with the Rev. Sung Shik Chung, pastor of West Middlesex United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment: Haywood Cemetery, West Middlesex.
