Sara N. Malia Weller, Carrier Road, Transfer, passed away after a brief illness at 1:12 a.m. Friday Sept., 14, 2012, surrounded by her loving family in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 83.
Sara was born June 28, 1929, in Sharpsville a daughter of Michael and M. Thornton Malia. She was the youngest of twelve children.
She resided in Sharpsville and graduated from Sharpsville High School. Sara went on to become a beautician after graduating from Wil Mar Beauty School.
She was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, Sharpsville.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, as she was devoted to her family hosting picnics, cookouts and holiday celebrations. Sara also enjoyed going for rides and her favorite times were vacations spent in Ocean City, N.J. with her daughters.
She married her sweetheart, Michael E. Weller Jr. on June 12, 1951, in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Sharpsville.
Sara leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 61 years at home along with her pets Ginger and Mollie; four children, Sally Gervais and husband David, Hubbard; Mick Weller and wife Karen, Transfer; Paul Weller and wife Diane, Transfer; and Peggy Noble and husband Larry, Greenville.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Maggie Nickols and husband Adam; Becky Noble and fiancé Phil Clark; Matt Weller and fiancé Laurie Sokolowski; Justin Gervais and wife Ami; Chris Weller; and Michelle Weller.
She also leaves her great-grandchildren, the special joys of her life, Sarah, Aiden, Thornton, Luella, Elliona and Leah.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, John, Michael, Thomas, Patrick and Martin; four sisters, Mary, Helen, Agnes and Katherine; and two infant siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the National Shrine of St. Jude, 205 W. Monroe, Chicago, Illinois 60606.

Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday (9-17-12) at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, 311 W. Ridge Ave., Sharpsville, with the Rev. Mark Stockton, Pastor as celebrant.
Interment: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
