Elaine M. “Tune” Bowes of Greenville, formerly of Hadley, passed away at 3:08 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, in St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, Lincoln, Neb., after an extended illness. She was 62.
She was in Nebraska visiting cousins, Doris and Charlie Nosker of Aurora.
Born Feb. 4, 1951, in Sharon, Ms. Bowes was a daughter of Robert W. and Elizabeth A. “Ibby” Vernon Temple.
Elaine was a 1969 graduate of Lakeview High School, Sandy Lake Township.
She worked for many years for Thrift Drug stores in Greenville and Mercer.
She was of the Protestant faith.
Through the years, she loved taking care of her many dogs, including Cindy, Rosie, Abby and her newest puppy, Joey.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Surviving are: her niece, Robynne Medberry Brock and her companion Ray Evanitz, Sandy Lake; a nephew, Shawn Temple and his wife Wendy, Fredonia; and two great-nieces, Crystal Medberry Gurall and Alyson Brock; and a great-great-niece, Amelya Gurall, all Sandy Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Karen Gulnac and Cheryl Temple; and a brother, Robert “Robbie” K. Temple.

Service: Funeral and committal service at 6 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Richard C. Steinlechner, pastor of New Lebanon Community Church, officiating.
Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township.
