A funeral service will be held Saturday for Lynn S. LaRocca of Masury. She passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, Feb. 1, 2012, in her home. She was 64.
Mrs. LaRocca was born Feb. 23, 1947, in Alliance, Ohio, a daughter of Buell and Freda Lucas Sheets.
Lynn was a 1965 graduate of West Branch High School and was a homemaker and mom to her beloved family.
Lynn was a very caring person who was known for her kindness and compassion toward others, above and beyond the ordinary.
She loved to bake and will always be remembered for her care packages that she shared with her beloved family and friends.
Mrs. LaRocca was a member of Masury United Methodist Church, where she also belonged to the Outreach Missions Unlimited Women’s Group.
Surviving is her husband of more than 35 years, Dennis J. LaRocca Sr., whom she married May 22, 1976; together they shared the love of three children, Dennis J. LaRocca Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Las Vegas, Nev.; Shelley Ruhlman and her husband Ronald, Mecca, Ohio; and Tina LaRocca and her fiancé Todd Phillips, Austintown, Ohio; her sister, Donna Martinelli and her husband Ralph, Canton, Ohio; her mother-in-law, Rosemary LaRocca, Masury; and three beloved grandchildren, Shandi LaRocca, Brandi LaRocca and Joseph Ruhlman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Sheets, on Aug. 23, 1963.
As an expression of sympathy, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Masury United Methodist Church, 1382 Broadway Ave., Masury, OH 44438.
