PITTSBURGH — Michael D. Johnson Sr. of 416 E. Euclid Ave., New Castle, passed away Wednesday morning, May 12, 2010, in UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh. He was 33.
Mr. Johnson was born July 9, 1976, in Yazoo City, Miss., to William Brown and Rosie Cathy. His father survives.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Michael was a corrections officer for the State Correctional Institution, Mercer, and was a member of the Pennsylvania State Correctional Association.
Michael is survived by: his fiancée, Tracy Uhrin and her children, Noah and Dylan Uhrin, all New Castle; a son, Michael Johnson II, also New Castle; a daughter, Jasmine Eubanks, Youngstown; six brothers, Tommy Johnson, New Castle; Brian Johnson, Lexington, Ky.; and Ricky Johnson, Jamie Johnson, Kelvin Johnson and Terrance Johnson, all Yazoo City; and six sisters, Ruthy Elmore, Jackson, Miss.; Sherri Burks, Yazoo City; Carol Ann Posey, Norcross, Ga.; Karen Johnson, Yazoo City; Clorinda Johnson, Minneapolis, Minn.; and Leighann Johnson, Yazoo City.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother; a sister, Athorine Moore; and a brother, Roosevelt Johnson Jr.
