Lawanda L. Heim of Sharpsville passed away at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, in Juniper Village at the Shenango Inn, Sharon, after a brief illness. She was 91.
Mrs. Heim was born June 17, 1921, in Sharon to Lawrence Ord Lewis and Ina Kerr Lewis.
She graduated from the former Transfer High School, class of 1939.
Lawanda worked as an assembler for 40 years at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sharpsville.
Lawanda enjoyed reading, time spent with nieces and nephews, walking, traveling and crossword puzzles.
On Aug. 14, 1965, she married her loving husband, Robert C. Heim, who survives at home.
Lawanda is also survived by a stepdaughter, Sharyn Diurba, Sharon; two sisters, Norma and her husband Richard Tonks, Sharpsville; and Peggy and her husband William Juranovich, Sharon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Ord Lewis; her mother, Ina Lewis; her sisters, Lucille Bacelli and Janine Lewis; and her brothers, Daniel Lewis, Benoit Lewis and Henry Lewis.
