Harry J. McBride of Espyville passed away unexpectedly at 1:33 p.m. Monday afternoon (3-18-13) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 78.
Mr. McBride was born July 30, 1934, in Hubbard, a son of Myron and Gladys Reiser McBride.
He was a graduate of Brookfield High School and had worked for General American Transportation Corp.’s former Masury plant as a welder and for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for more than 35 years before his retirement in 1995.
In his free time, he was an avid fisherman and loved boating with his wife and family.
He leaves behind: his beloved wife of 17 years, the former Jean Chase; six children, Crystal and her husband Jim Gorey, Canton, Ohio; Patrick McBride and his wife Linda, Piney Flats, Tenn.; Kelly and her husband Bob Valencic, Erie; Colleen Valencic, Youngstown; Ben McBride, Oil City; and Ray J. Rice III and his wife Heather, Masury; two brothers, Dick McBride and his wife Darlene, Brookfield; and Ted McBride, Midland, Mich.; his sister, Patricia Radichevich, Niceville, Fla.; and 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Dennis McBride, in 2011.
Memorial contributions may be made in tribute to Harry’s life through American Heart Association, 840 Southwestern Run Road, Youngstown, OH 44514.
