BROOKFIELD —
Brookfield school officials are no longer considering installing a wind turbine to help power a new school building, but that doesn’t mean their interest in alternative energy has ended.
Brookfield Superintendent Tim Saxton said the district is looking into the possibility of installing solar panels on the K-12 school building being built for the 2011-2012 school year.
Saxton said they decided after some research that a wind power turbine wouldn’t be a good use of taxpayer money.
