SANDY LAKE —
A 15-second call for help Friday morning prompted rescue teams from northern Mercer County to search Lake Wilhelm for more than four hours for two boaters, but authorities called the search off at about 1:45 p.m. after several sweeps of the lake turned up nothing.
“We’ve fallen into the lake, we’re at Wilhelm,” the caller told a 911 dispatcher, according to Dennis Winger Jr., the supervisor working the day shift Friday at the county 911 office.
