MERCER COUNTY — A former Mercer County man who ran for U.S. Congress in 2010 is filing a federal civil lawsuit against area bloggers and several police departments, asking for $31 million from each for interfering with his campaign and for libel.

Mel M. Marin, San Diego, last week filed a motion to proceed as a pauper in a civil rights suit against Robert Biros, David Biros and their Mercer County Conservatives website and Hermitage, Sharpsville and Butler Township, Butler County, police and the Mercer County Sheriff’s office.
