UPDATE: Gas station robber nets nearly $2,000


BROOKFIELD — Rich gas station on Warren Sharon Road in Brookfield was robbed Friday night by a man with a handgun.

Witnesses said that just after 10 p.m., a man wearing a hoodie approached a gas station attendent, pulled out a gun and demanded money and cigarettes.

According to police reports, the alleged robber pistol-whipped the attendent twice after the attendent failed to comply with his demands, and then fled the scene with nearly $2,000 and several packs of ciagrettes. Police do not have a suspect in the robbery.
