Robbins bid to pad vote draws out foe

50TH SENATE DISTRICT — Art Allen said he had been considering running again for Pennsylvania’s 50th Senate district seat this year but decided against it.

But the Jackson Township resident said he changed his mind after Republican state Sen. Robert D. “Bob” Robbins, Salem Township, sent letters to registered Democrats in the district, asking them to vote for him as a write-in candidate in Tuesday’s primary.
