Past remains part of park’s present

Historic playground works to find niche

CONNEAUT LAKE — James Schweitzer’s voice echoed through the desolate midway of Conneaut Lake Park.

“Games. You wanna play some games?” he shouted as he held a handful of darts.

This is the second season he’s worked at the park, which is an iconic part of a western Pennsylvania summer and has been for more than a century.
