St. Michael's students win at Academic Games

GREENVILLE — Twenty-eight students from St. Michael’s School, Greenville, traveled to Slippery Rock University Jan. 15 to participate in the Academic Game Presidents.

Eighth-graders Madison Fattman and Matt Mathias were both undefeated and their team, The Fighting Irish, took second place.

Sixth-grader Alex Harpst, and fifth-graders, Trey Groleau, Sophia Geving, and Madison Murphy were also undefeated. Their team, Bush’s Shrubs, came in at fifth place.

Undefeated students qualify to compete at TriBowl, the state competition, in March. Matt Mathias and Alex Harpst also qualified to participate in the national competition in April in Charlotte, N.C.
