BROOKFIELD —
It’s good news all around for the Brookfield Local School District.
The district will be receiving two grants of about $200,000 each this school year, one from the state for an after-school program and another from the U.S. Department of Education as part of the second round of the “Race to the Top” funding, which is providing $3.4 billion to nine states and Washington, D.C.
