The Greenville couple charged in the Jan. 17 death of their infant son waived their court appearances Tuesday before Mercer County Common Pleas Court President Judge Francis J. Fornelli.
Royanne Darr, 23, of 10 Elizabeth St., and Michael L. Rabold, 24, of 61 S. Second St., were formally arraigned on charges of criminal homicide and endangering the welfare of children.
The charges stem from the death of their 2-month-old son, Isaac Rabold, and the alleged neglect of another son, who was 15 months old when they were arrested in June.
The couple remains in Mercer County Jail, where they have been held since their arrests.
A pathologist determined Isaac died of malnutrition and dehydration after Ms. Darr and Rabold failed to care for him.
