The glare Sunday afternoon on Jess Powell’s shiny, new corn dryer made it hard to see the top of the tall contraption at his Fairview Township farm.
The recent purchase of the energy-efficient dryer with federal funds will make that operation more cost effective, he said. And Brian Raymond, owner of Sandy Lake Mills, said they put in a new continuous flow grain dryer with the money, which will speed up the process and get product out faster.
