SHARON — A boy was hurt when his bike ran into a car Sunday night at Meek Street and Fourth Avenue in Sharon, police said.
Police said Thomas Johnson, 8, of Fourth Avenue, was riding his bike south on Fourth when he went through a stop sign at 7:37 p.m. and his bike struck the front passenger side of a vehicle driven by Jenny Donato, 35, of Independence Court, who was traveling west on Meek.
Thomas went up and over the hood of the car and was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment of unknown injuries, police said. A spokeswoman for St. Elizabeth’s said he was in satisfactory condition on Monday afternoon.
Police said Ms. Donato was not injured in the accident and no one was cited.
