HERMITAGE — A Hermitage woman said she saw a coyote walking this week in her neighborhood, the Rolling Acres housing development off South Keel Ridge Road.
The woman, who asked not to be identified, said the coyote was walking along and sniffing, and came within about 5 feet of a neighbor’s house.
“Something startled it and then it ran off into the woods,” she said.
The woman said she had seen coyotes before, but never in her neighborhood in 13 years of living there.
