GROVE CITY — A 44-year-old Grove City-area man is being held in Butler County Prison after being accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl Friday at the Butler County Fair.
According to state police, John Roy Barlow Jr. of 255 Brent Road, Liberty Township, sexually assaulted the girl while she was riding the Bavarian swing ride at about 10:30 p.m. Friday at the fair.
Barlow was charged with aggravated indecent assault, a first-degree felony, and indecent assault and corruption of minors, both misdemeanors, police said. He was arraigned over the weekend and taken to jail after failing to post $50,000 bond.
Police said Barlow violated the conditions of his parole, and the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole issued a detainer for him.
