MERCER COUNTY — A Hermitage father and son and a Farrell man have been arrested on charges of illegally selling pills to confidential informants working with the Mercer County Drug Task Force.
Joseph C. Difrischia, 48, of 129 Fairmont Drive, and his son, Bradley M. Difrischia, 21, of the same address, were arraigned Monday by District Judge Ronald E. Antos, Farrell, and sent to Mercer County Jail, the elder Difrischia for failing to post bond, and Bradley Difrischia on a detainer.
Anthony V. Green Sr., 50, of 1106 Beechwood Ave., also was arraigned by Antos and taken to the county jail for failing to post bond.
Joseph Difrischia is charged with:
• Delivery of two pills of Roxicet for allegedly selling the pain killer for $50 to a confidential informant Nov. 1 at 1429 E. State St.
• Delivery of six Oxycodone pills for allegedly selling the pain killer for $210 to an informant Dec. 11 at home.
• Delivery of five “Roxies” for an undisclosed price to an informant Jan. 18 at home, authorities said.
• Delivery of five Roxies for $125 to an informant March 19 at home, authorities said.
• Three counts of delivery of Roxies for allegedly selling 100 pills, 40 pills and 10 pills to known buyers March 19 at home. During a search of his home, police said they found a prescription bottle for Roxycodone made out to Joseph Difrischia, from which Difrischia admitted selling.
• Conspiring with Bradley Difrischia to allegedly deliver five Roxies to a confidential informant for $100 March 19 in the 2800 block of East State.
• Four counts each of possession of Oxycodone or Roxicet, and criminal use of a cellular telephone to set up the deals.
Bradley Difrischia is charged with delivering eight Oxycontin pills Feb. 13 to a confidential informant for $100, and the delivery relating to the alleged March 19 deal. He also is charged with two counts of possession and one count each of criminal use of a cell phone and conspiracy.
Green sold seven pills of Oxycontin Feb. 6, six pills Feb. 14, four pills Feb. 19 and seven pills March 7 to an informant for $60 a pill at 400 Orange Drive in Hermitage, police said.
Green was charged with four counts each of delivery, possession and criminal use of a cell phone, and one count of conspiracy.
Hearings for all three men are set for June 18.
