John Grajcar, formerly of Summit Road, Transfer, passed away at 7:04 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, in Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage. He was 86.
Mr. Grajcar was born on March 25, 1923, in Sharon to Michael and Bertha Stofko Grajcar.
He retired as a molder after 32 years of service at the former National Castings Division of Midland-Ross Corp., Sharon.
John was a veteran of the Army, having served in Europe in World War II and belonged to the Disabled American Veterans.
He also belonged to Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sharon and AARP, a retired person’s organization.
His wife, the former Mary Dvoryak, whom he married on April 12, 1947, passed away on Jan. 31, 2004.
John is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John Andrew and Kathy Grajcar; and a granddaughter, Diane Grajcar, all Gibsonia; and a sister, Irene Ivan, Farrell.
Besides his wife, John was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Anna DeVecentis and Mary Grajcar; and a brother, Edward Grajcar.
