Joseph Phillip Pascale

Steel retiree enjoyed dancing, gardening


Joseph Phillip Pascale, 7689 Connelly Road, Masury, passed away peacefully at 7:20 a.m. Saturday (11-21-09) in his residence following a period of failing health. He was 83.

Mr. Pascale was born Oct. 29, 1926, in Masury, a son of Dominic and Margaret Rich Pascale.

He was a lifelong area resident and a 1944 alumnus of Brookfield High School.

Joe worked as a layout person in the steel industry for more than 60 years and retired in 2002, at the age of 76, from Ivor J. Lee. He was also employed at the former Jennings Manufacturing, Masury, which later became Kopper’s Manufacturing; and the former Smartz Manufacturing, Sharpsville,.

He was a member of Church of the Sacred Heart and Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 103, both Sharon.

Joe enjoyed dancing, gardening and playing the accordion.

Surviving are: his wife of 57 years, the former Dolores Mae Hall, whom he married May 17, 1952; three daughters, Cynthia L. Mosley and her husband George; and Susan M. Pascale, all Masury; and Michelle A. Pascale, Youngstown; three grandchildren, Leyla Sartori, Justin Sartori and George Mosley; a great-grandchild, Christopher Butchman; two sisters, Connie Sentelik, Masury; and Margaret “Rita” Bryan and her husband Harry, Campbell, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Helen Pascale, Brookfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Trombetta; two brothers, Anthony “Tony” J. Pascale and Sabadeno “Sam” Pascale; and his stepfather, Augustine Saneto.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation, 115 Broadway, 13th Floor, New York, NY 10006.
