John W. Venesky of Hermitage passed away at 9:40 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. He was 72.
He was born Oct. 6, 1937, in West Kittanning, Pa.
He graduated in 1957 from Kittanning Senior High School.
John worked for Kilgore Security of Hermitage as a security guard for 12 years at the former Sharon Tube Co.
He was an Army veteran and enjoyed playing on his computer.
His wife, the former Doris Aites, whom he married July 22, 1987, survives at home.
Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Sharon Bauer and her husband Kenneth; and Tracey Crissman; a stepson, Howard Crissman and his wife Tab; and a grandson, Chase Bauer, all Kittanning.
John was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and four brothers.

Burial: Cremation was held in the funeral home crematory.
