Thomas ‘TK’ M. Klouse

Business founder served in church, community

A funeral service will be held Saturday for Thomas “TK” M. Klouse of Masury, who died Wednesday (11-04-2009) in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown. He was 56.

Mr. Klouse was born Jan. 31, 1953, in Chicago, a son of Walter and Lois (Hanson) Klouse.

Tom was a 1971 graduate of Brookfield High School and had attended Youngstown State University.

In 1977 he founded TK Auto Body in Masury, which he sold in 1989. He continued his work there until 2007 as one of the area’s best body repairmen. He had worked for Crown Ford in Warren in the body shop and was currently working at Advanced Auto Body as the general manager.

“TK” was an avid racer of BMX bikes and motocross. He participated in many events and won many titles and trophies. He also had participated in several billiard tournaments and bowling leagues at Thornton Hall Lanes, Sharon.

He was very active in his community as a founding member of Brookfield Rotary, for which he was president twice, past president of the Brookfield Band Boosters, past president of the Northeast Ohio Auto Body Association, and past president of the Shenango Valley Business Professionals.

Tom was a proud member of Brookfield United Methodist Church, where he had been a lay speaker, youth group leader, president of the administrative council, and a trustee. He also sang in the choir.

Mr. Klouse is survived by his mother, Lois, Brookfield; his fiancé, Christine Byknish, Masury; two sons, Matthew Klouse and his wife Brandy, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and Gregory Klouse, Niles, Ohio; a daughter, Laura Klouse, Niles, Ohio; a brother, Richard Klouse and his wife Tina, Charlotte, N.C.; and a sister, Barbara DeJute and her husband Robert, Tampa, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter F. Klouse, on Aug. 16, 1993; and a sister, Susan M. Klouse, on July 4, 1975.

The family suggests contributions be made to the Brookfield United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
