Charles Howard Fryman Jr., a resident since March 2009 of Fellowship Manor, 19 Orchard Drive, Apartment 301, Pine Township, formerly of Harrisville, passed away at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, in his home. He was 92.
Mr. Fryman was born July 20, 1917, in Grove City to Charles Howard Fryman Sr. and Lydia McClintock Orr Fryman.
He retired in 1982 after 27 years as a salesman from the former Maximon Machine Co., Pine Township; and was a self-employed farmer.
An Army veteran, Mr. Fryman served during World War II.
As a member of Harrisville United Methodist Church, he served as a Sunday school teacher for more than 60 years.
He enjoyed farming and camping.
His wife, the former Margaret G. Thompson, whom he married July 19, 1939, survives at home in Pine Township.
Also surviving are: a son, Richard W. Fryman and his wife Mary Jane, Slippery Rock; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn A. Baum, Harrisville; two sisters, Nancy Stowe and her husband James, Parker, Clarion County; and Joanne Campbell and her husband Merle, Harrisville; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles William Fryman, who passed away in 1994; a brother, Carl Fryman; and two sisters, Mary Williams and Jean Rostas.
