Thomas G. ‘Webby’ Webster

GE retiree had siblings here, enjoyed vintage cars

FAIRVIEW, Pa. — Thomas “Tom” G. “Webby” Webster of 7621 West Lake Road, Fairview, died peacefully Tuesday evening, Oct. 27, 2009, in his home. He was 65.

Born on March 9, 1944, in Grove City, Mr. Webster was a son of Roy M. and Thelma George Webster.

Tom was a 1962 graduate of Grove City High School and was employed for 32 years as a TIG welder at General Electric in Erie, until his retirement in 1997.

He loved his 1956 T-Bird, 1966 GTO and his 1992 Corvette. Tom enjoyed hunting, was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians and loved animals.

Tom is survived by: his wife of 45 years, Anne M. “Sis” McCool Webster; two sons, Michael L. Webster and his wife Melanie, Worcester, Vt.; and Joey V. Webster and his wife Wendy, Cranesville, Pa.; three brothers, Dave Webster and his wife Kitty, Grove City; Roy Webster Jr. and his wife Jane, Mercer; and Donnie Webster and his wife Elli, Canyon County, Calif.; a sister, Nancy King and her husband Jim, Deland, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jessey and Caleb Webster, both Worcester; and Ramey Jo and Joey Webster, both Cranesville; and several nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
